His flexible degree programme is ideal if you enjoy the whole breadth of biology, and is the common entry route to a number of possible specializations. It encompasses the diversity of life forms and includes the study of the biology, interrelationships and behavior of all types of organisms, from viruses to mammals and flowering plants, and on the mechanisms, which underlie their physiology, and behavior.
FIELD WORK/PRACTICAL WORK
You will have the opportunity to carry out fieldwork in regional and national settings. Research projects form a substantial part of the final year work and these are carried out within research-based laboratories, which are in college and within other research institutes.
YOUR CHOICE OF PROGRAMME
Our degree programme is designed for those who enjoy biology in its broadest sense and who would prefer not to choose a narrower degree course.In the early stages, you will remain broad-based and you will be provided with a thorough grounding in core topics essential to the understanding of the whole range of biological sciences. As the programme progresses, you can remain broad-based or you can move to one of the more specialized degrees like Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology or Botany.
SYLLABUS
PAPER I) Diversity of Microbes and Crpytogram. PAPER II) Gymnosperm Diversity, Structure and development of flowering plants and ecology. PAPER III) Taxnomy, Palynology, Embriogy and utilization of plants. PAPER IV) Physilogy, Cell Biology, Genitics and Bio Technology.
