This challenging Management programme is offered with a comprehensive knowledge of business issues to enhance students career in business management. The overall aim of the programme is to provide participants with an advanced knowledge of business and management principles, through both practical application and theory. It will explore the cross-functional character of management problems and develop an understanding of the organization in total. Participants will enhance their understanding of strategy formulation, evaluation and implementation, increase their knowledge and improve their performances a manager. The department of Management provides a strongly supportive, vibrant research culture much of which is conducted in collaboration with private and public organizations and higher education institutions.
THE COURSE GIVES
Aclear sense of the organisational environment in the 21st century and readiness to take on employment in a management position. In-depth knowledge of modern approaches to business and management. An understanding of the relationship between people, organisations, and business and management in different organisational structures. An understanding of financial requirements for business, including published financial information, and an ability to make judgements about the financial performance of companies. An understanding of the central importance of innovation in a range of different organisational contexts -entrepreneurial start-up firms, small firms and other organisations, and large business corporations.
TEACHING ASSESSMENT
Teaching will include large formal lectures, seminars and tutorials. Assessment will involve combinations of coursework and examinations for each module. Coursework generally includes essays and reports, assignments, presentations, group projects and case study analysis, all with a strong work-based focus.
